A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Don Love began his professional career in the performing arts; having danced with Kansas City Ballet and The Washington Ballet. His passion for decorating eventually led him to the world of design; launching SLD Interiors in 2005. With projects throughout the DMV, Florida, and Colorado, Don has established a unique vision of discipline and balance into his interiors, harking back to his years of ballet. SLD Interiors believes a loving, well appointed home is equal to the sum of all parts.

Don’s design philosophy incorporates a full spectrum of adjectives ranging from whimsical to delightful, from graceful to modern. His classic fusion of color and form translates a style that is exclusively his own. Don believes that interior décor should always incorporate comfort, sustainability, quality and balance. Nonetheless, Don positions clients’ needs at the epicenter of his design process, therefore always ensuring an environment that is both client and design centric.
